OOC: Please keep in mind if your character was actually there or not. If you were on proxy or went after the vampire child in the sewers these ran at the same time.
IC: The evening of Sunday, August 6th the city finds themselves sitting quietly around a rounded stage area. Reminiscent of the old Colosseum style, seats ascending slightly to give a good view of the proceedings. The stage itself is bare, save a wooden throne placed on the opposite curve from an entrance door, seemingly the only way in and out of the stage.
Immediately as the clocks chime out the top of the hour, Spectre enters the stage area with Kerensky trailing him slightly. Rather than his normal tuxedo and top hat, he is dressed in more ceremonious garb. A black high-necked military dress coat (similar to what the Marines wear) accompanies his black pants. Trimmed in burgundy, they offer the perfect contrast to the indigo and gold sash across his chest. The shoulder-boards are gold with a double eagle on the top of them, the imperial crest of the former Russian Empire. A few unrecognizable medals hang from the left breast of the coat. The ever present 7-Iron is still in his hand.
Confidently, but still solemnly, he strides to the throne and turns to face the door. Kerensky at his right hand, he sits, and bids Kerensky to begin.
Kerensky pulls out a scrolled parchment and begins to read:
"Lord Goedfrey Atwood of the Invictus, charged with crimes against the city in the deaths of the court members of Council Bluffs, charged with crimes against his honor in reneging on one who saved his life, and charged with crimes against himself, to include cowardice, disloyalty, and incompetence. The verdict is guilty."
At this point Spectre stands to address the city.
"So that these crimes will never again be perpetrated against the good Kindred of our city, may you all be shown the crimes themselves, and the punishment that ensues." With a nod, Kerensky leaves, Spectre sits, and the play begins.
A character, obviously supposed to be Goedfrey, walks toward Spectre with another Kindred in tow. Written in large letters on a sign around the Kindred's neck is "VII". VII's eyes are closed, simulating that he is in torpor. As Goedfrey leads him to Spectre, he is portrayed as oblivious and unaware. VII opens his eyes for a moment, looks around, gives an exaggerated wink to the audience, then falls silent again.
Goedfrey drops VII before Spectre and says:
"My Prince, I have brought you a captured member of VII. He is torpored, and I assure you, is completely harmless to the city."
He bows, and as Spectre nods, he sneakily backs away, postured as if he anticipates something happening. When out of the princes sight, he comically runs for the door. Spectre rises, kneels over VII, poking it a couple of times, when VII awakens. In exaggerated motions, he grabs Spectre, and "bites" at his neck. Slurping sounds accompany a drinking as Spectre falls limp, obviously "diablerized". With a small burp, he runs for the door. At the door, he runs into a character wearing a sign reading "A good Kindred of the Three Cities". Obviously scared by the Kindred, VII looks for a place to run, only to be thumped on the head with a stake and knocked out. The Good Kindred then simulates killing VII and drags the body off.
The scene shifts, as Spectre rises and Goedfrey reenters the room. As they sit there whispering to each other, an obvious representation of a Nosferatu enters, and begins wiggling his hands scarily and menacingly at Goedfrey. Goedfrey gets nervous, falling into the fetal position and even going so far as to suck his thumb. A cap gun fires from offstage and the Nosferatu stumbles. Spectre, using the 7-Iron as a makeshift sword pretends to beat the Nosferatu away. Nosferatu falls, and Spectre checks his hands to ensure death (dropping one and letting it hit). Satisfied with that, he snaps Goedfrey out of his terror:
Spectre: "Goedfrey, you twit! You're an Invictus Lord, act like it!!"
Goedfrey: "I'm so sorry, my lord. Please, forgive me, and thank you for saving me. My life is yours!"
Spectre: "As your life is mine, your life is everyones. You will defend the city of Lamar with your life versus the foul Brood. Go forth and show what your life is worth!"
Goedfrey: (Fingers obviously crossed) "Of COURSE I will, Viscount Spectre." (Spectre turns and Goedfrey slinks away, the wrong direction. Spectre calls after him and chases him).
The scene shifts as Kerensky and Spectre now come out looking for Goedfrey. As they "search" the stage, 5 ghouls appear from the entrance.
Ghoul 1: "You will not have our master!"
With that the ghouls attack in a hideously pitiful manner. Easily, Kerensky and Spectre knock them out (not dead) and survey their victory. Spectre looks up and points with his club.
"In there!"
He leads Kerensky to the entrance of the stage where they run off. Shortly there after, they walk back in to the right and left of a rolling table. On it is the staked body of the real Goedfrey, pushed by an obvious executioner. Black robes and a black hooded face, with a plain longsword at his side.
Solemnly, Spectre returns to the throne, Kerensky to his right, and the Executioner facing the city next to his charge.
Spectre stands to address the city:
"Let this Kindred's punishment serve as a lesson and a warning. The Kindred of this city are too good to allow someone to endanger them all."
With a nod to Kerensky, he utters the words "Do as thou wilt."
Kerensky gives a single nod to the Executioner, who slices off Goedfry's head with one stroke.
The Executioner then produces a Mason Jar and a Vial. Splitting the ashes between the two, he collects them and wheels the table out. Spectre rises and leaves the stage, Kerensky on his tail. The city finds itself dismissed.
