Magery 101

Yesterday I was chatting with Tempest and Kitten - Kitten being the new Moros that Mortemor was speaking of - and they were talking about the things that they have never learned.

I have offered to teach some of the basics of magery to both Kitten and Tempest, and if others wish to join us they are welcome.

I will announce when and where the courses will be held once I have verified that the athenium is or is not available.

As I can understand that the teaching would be a great thing you can do.. your spreading yourself to thin. Also.. we educate them as a whole till they choose there order.. And also if they choose a mentor.

Other thing.. Sorry.. I'm edgey about classes.. last mage I knew who did that.. I would talk to, and may have respected enough to be a mage.. I didn't trust, or I didn't like to much. So in basics, if they come to you to ask.. let them.

After all, I wouldn't want anyone screaming about hwo the mysterium is trying to hook all the new mages or such.

I am teaching Solaris and possibly you the basics of alchemy, plus Tempest and Kitten and possibly another mage or two the basics of magic and magery.

How is that too thin?


As for where, I was hoping to use one of the side-rooms of the athenium if there was one available. Based on your reply, I'll find another location.


I do not know about this other mage, so I will leave that topic alone. All I can say is, I am me.


As for the mysterium hooking all the new mages, well - that would be silly since not all mages are mysterium material, just as not all new mages are arrow material.

So you make yourself look like an idiot in front of the mages of the area-congratulations. You've been Mysterium for how long? You know protocol when it comes to how things in the order are done and to say you will announce a possible location in public when you should have confirmed in private ahead of time makes yourself look foolish and us selfish. You know full well the Anthenaeum is still largely under construction and is not treated like the revolving door of a public library with study rooms, especially for those not of the Order. Do I have to treat you like a child and ask how many times do I need to tell you that Mortemor is the current head of the Mysterium and that anything discussed with the Anthenaeum goes through him first? More than one occasion you have tried to undermine him and other Mysterium who have been in this area longer than you.

The Anthiemum.. IS NOT a passing library that YOU have say for who enters and such.. so.. outside of your misguide placing of doing this.. I'm gonna say this..

YOU are not eh Curator.. till such time as figured.. Verdhandi is.. She helped build that place up from the ground up..

Secondly, Tempest.. is NOT mysterium.. he is Free Council.. while he learns from who he chooses to.. they have theres.. we have ours. so.. If you REALLY wanna go head to head on this one.. I will win.

*sigh* I think we have enough issues to deal with at this current time, then fighting amoungst ourselves, being a Master of Master or anything else doesnt mean you know everything within this world. Everything we learn within life is a stepping stone to be greater then we are. No two share exactly the same perspective. As our perspectives differ, so do the connections formed from our experiences.These mental connections give each of us a unique personal culture,within our personal growth. Mortmer I request you learn more tact when you speak to members within this city, and others will start given you the respect you deserve for what you have done. Geezus, people. Did we over-react a bit much or something? Last I checked, this was at least an amicable discussion. Perhaps a bit of *Public* Constructive criticism, and *Private* ass-handing? Now, admittedly, I don't know how the Mysterium works (and so help me, Mort, if you reply with 'that's right, so but out', I swear I'm gonna kick you in the shins), but it didn't seem to my eyes that he assumed anything, just stating his ideas. Rather publicly, mind you, but nothing that would ultimately need a dueling ring.

Ultimately, we're all a master of nothing, and always learning new *and* old stuff, so let's not fault the guy for wanting to help those who *don't* always understand what's going on and those who just want to learn a little more.

That's my 2 cents, and I'm headin' to the bank...
