Reg. Drives April/May, July/August & Oct/Nov 2007

Want some Regional Prestige and earn it for a good cause?

Just a reminder that there still is a Regional Drive for April and May to donate things that the domain needs. Printer paper, ink cartridges, pens, etc. If you have a question about what we might need then get with myself or the current DC, Jessye and we can let you know. Keep your receipts and we can make copies to keep if you want the original.

For July and August, what charity do we want to donate too and think about if we want to choose a different charity for each month.? That will determine exactly what we donate and we can start making the contact calls now and run it by the RC to make sure they are cool with the idea.

Also, we are still planning on putting together that care package for NCRE in the near future as well, once we get all that figured out ;-)

I just thought of this... What about the Kansas and Nebraska Chapters of the American Red Cross Storm relief funds. I know here in Lancaster county the town of Hallam was wiped off the face of the Earth 3 years ago by a storm, and the same is gonna be going on this summer and early fall.

Hallam rebuilt after 3 years and these towns can to but lots of volunteers made that possible.

I know Greensburg needs help..and I am sure this will be one wild summer fro tornadic activities.

I don't have any particulars, and I am kinda busy with the family thing.. I was just tossing ideas out. It was just a thought..

You originally posted this in May, I know, but as for the Red Cross drive, I especially like the idea for August.

Charities ADCs, what do we need to do to make something like this happen? Even if it's not what people want to do for the "any way you want it" drive, it still wouldn't be a bad idea.
