Requiem August Game

If we have it the 25th we get to have Tim and possibly go back to Ground Zero to give Don and Angel a break (did I mention we missed Tim's birthday and can go out somewhere afterwards?)

I'm always forgetting...does this conflict with Des Moines? Not that I care too terribly much...you guys being my home domain and all.

Also, would this affect the next scheduled game (1 Sep- ish)?

We need to discuss the Sept. 1st game because its slated for Lincoln which is also opening day of the new football season and it will be HELL on the interstate driving down and navigating around town since kick-off is at 3:45 and pre-game gathering starts around 4:00.

No conflict with Des Moines, their game is the next night...I won't be going because I already told Borders I'd work for someone trying to go to a concert in C.B. besides I have my birthday off from work so I didn't mind...guys better enjoy the personal sacrifice I do for you-especially Tim ;D

Several players have already committed to game on August 18th & September 1st by trading work shifts - arranging babysitters - or setting up rides to attend game.

To my knowledge nobody has spoken with Don & Angel about the possibility of not having game at their house either. Ground Zero is a valuable resource as an alternate game site, but it is very confined and its location is less than ideal.

Requiem has been seeing between 12 and 20 participants. That's simply not comfortable at Ground Zero where there is one open room without a door and the parking lot to play around in - not to mention that there are other customers to navigate.

All-in-all I believe it is a very bad idea to change the schedule to conform to one player. Tim will have plenty of opportunities to roleplay. He is no stranger to DSM if he wants his Requiem fix the weekend of the 25/26th he can play there on Sunday and be back in his local game the following week. Love-him-to-death, but the world can't quit turning just because Tim isn't there to give it a spin. ;D

As far as the kickoff goes for UNL football on September 1st... I've never been a fan of 4pm game anyways. You're 5 hours away from sunset. I would much rather sacrifice 1 hour of daylight than spend another hour in "Game Day Traffic" previous to kickoff. We can push for a hard-start at 5pm.

That way when we drive down from Omaha we can wait until 3:30pm to head down to Lincoln when the fans are all in the stadium trying to find their seats and arrive for a short pre-game announcement to kick US off.

Do we know who is hosting in Lincoln on the 1st?

I have heard officially that the game is going to be held on August 25, 2007 rather than August 18, 2007. Please make plans accordingly.

The September 1st game is still going to be in Lincoln at Scott's house.
