Hooray for technological geniuses, thank you Scott. I have finally been led through the jungle that is this site to bring you news:
1. The 30 Jun/1 Jul social in Lincoln IS NOT AT BALLARD PARK, IT IS AT HAVELOCK PARK. The two parks are about two blocks away from each other, but the accessibility to the house is better for Havelock Park. I have heard thru the grapevine that there is still a bit of confusion about this, so I wanted to clarify. Members are bringing desserts and their own alcohol, if wanted, so don't forget!
Other important social news: Fred is looking for cooking helpers. I think Chad said guests were welcome at 1430 or after, and Fred wants help toting chow from the house to the park, filling coolers with ice, and towing the charity items to the various drop points. I will leave a signup sheet and check with those responsible for getting stuff done. If there is prestige in it for you, I will dig it up.
For folks who are staying at our house: We want to know who and how many by the end of the weekend. We are trying to find air matresses, etc for all those who are crashing with us, and that is going to require a head count. Bring pillows and blankets, as we are short on both.
Don't forget your lawn chairs, since alcohol is not allowed in the park the lawn at our place is open. We have neighbors and they will not appreciate unnecessary idiocy, but if we're relatively quiet and cool, there will not be a problem. We do have the pool filled and it will be available to the kids for temperature control and play time.
LOGO stuff:
Aaron informs me a reasonable size for the logo is 3"x3". Those are the size limits now. The name of the Domain is Ashen Plains and the venues we currently have running are Requiem, Mage and a paper Forsaken venue. Deadline for the contest is 21 Jul 2007.
Charities for July:
At this point, it is getting awfully late to try to organize an effort based charity event for the 7th. If I do not hear from the domain as to what is wanted to replace the car wash, I am going to assume we are taking a pass on the effort based part for July and just going with the drive. July's drive for Lincoln is the school supplies drive for Huntington Elementary School. This school is in the NE section of town and two members have important children in their lives at that school currently. Special requests include facial tissues (Puffs) not made of sandpaper and art supplies. Donations will be made to the school in the first week of August.
Long-winded, aren't I? Done for now. I will not be active on this board, so the best way to reach me is through the DC account or my own email address at dead.steph@gmail.com. Calling me is also an option, but I am absolutely not posting my phone number on the internet. Ask me for it at an event, I will be happy to hand it out. Those who have it already have standing permission to give it to other members for Cam related business.
