Greeting and Salutations Ashen Plains,
As many of you already know our Forsaken venue has had ups and downs in the past. I do not profess to have first hand knowledge of everything that has occured IC and OOC involving this, but I have been very interested in seeing this venue succeed since my re-entry into the Camarilla. We have been stuck with a paper venue for a few months while Jason has been attempting to re-organize the venue. Now Jason has stepped down and we are left with a potential blackhole and an end to the venue. Even though we are having trouble coming to agreement's involving *some* of the issues with this venue, I am sure we can all agree we do not wish to see it closed for good.
Our main area of disagreement thus far has been setting: many of the old players do not wish to see there PC's leave the city of Omaha, while the former VST was having a problem dealing with the VSS that his predecessor left in place (unfamiliar plotlines and history for your local game are an immense headache for anyone to deal with). Now if we can find it in our hearts to play devils advocate I am sure many of us can see both sides of this issue.
If we are to have any hope of solving these and other problems then we need to open up the lines of communication and discuss what we as a domain would like to see in our games. I am willing to open my home so that we can have a Domain wide Forsaken meeting in order to discuss the VSS, potential candidates for new VST, and come to some agreements as a whole so that we can all have a fun and interesting game. Please forward this to all local lists (as I am unable to.) so that we may all begin to discuss a good time for such a meeting.
Time: TBA (Within 3 weeks of today, depending on whats best for everyone.)
Place: Don and Edna's House (Directions will be posted)
What to bring: I'll provide a main course, anyone interested can bring a covered dish. Also please bring your thoughts and a willingness to listen to the ideas of others.
I look forward to hearing from all of you.
-Don
