Hello Chris -
Your email below was forwarded to me. I wanted to contact you before the week was past.
OK. I love the product Long Live The King. I want to demo the game at renaissance fairs in the Midwest‡”with costumes for people to wear. We would do the game as a show for the ren fair and once people had seen the demo let them play. I have worked at several fairs and my group has experience on the professional stage. I am a full time employee at The Game Shoppe so we could sell the product after the demo. Would there be anything we would need to know from you about doing this and could we have your permission to do this? Also any support for this would be greatly appreciated!
I think this sounds like tremendous fun. The only stipulation that we have as White Wolf is that people are not charged for the right to play in the games at the fair. So long as ya'll are going this for fun and to sell copies of the product, then that is nothing we would have a problem with.
In fact, should you go that route I would be able to work with you to post website stories on our home page promoting the fair and the game sessions, much like I do for our freelancers who are asked to be Guests of Honor at various regional conventions, or our Senior Demo teams when they commit to running a slate of table top games at conventions as well. So, I can offer you promotional support - perhaps a write up in the White Wolf magazine as well, if that interests you.
Aside from that, we don't have any posters for LLK or pins, etc - that I can offer. I wish it were otherwise, but it wasn't in the budget.
Let me know if that interests you and prehaps we can brainstorm other ways to help promote your idea.
