First an apology, I had thought that I had all the current players who were interested in coming to the venue if it were to reopen on a continual basis. This seems it wasn't the case to those that wished to be at this meeting. I am sorry I will try to get the word out more.
The Meeting itself went fairly well minus the fact I think all of us Cammies live on tangent street the way we go down in. Currently there is interest in reopening the venue but it will be a completly new VSS.
Here are some of the major elements the VSS will include.
New Location - The Major change of this VSS comes from the new location that will be in Grand Island and its outskirts. I would ask that LeAnne and Chelle and even Tim give me any of the WoD History that may include that section of Nebraska.
Theme - The big Themes that seem to be asked for is struggle against the Monster that youve become adjusting to the harmony all the while having outside enemies at your door. While of course other themes may and will be included this is the most central theme that players at the meeting wanted to explore.
Now I am still writing up the VSS I do not plan to submit it until July 15th. If players who are interested in attending the venue regularly wish to have their input in please PM me and I will be more than happy to attempt this as much as possible.
Thank you, Jason Haynes Penguin no more

I have nothing on the history of Grand Island, but you the mages/vampires may. If so, I would request it be put in the storyteller section so that it can be doled out to the players as necessary without blowing the whole thing up.

My only thoughts and comments on this one is this.
What happens to characters like mine.. the ones who don't want to move from our terriotires in omaha and not go to Grand Island.
I guess that just seems as a question on my side of things, since sometimes I don't hear squat.

We did discuss this at the meeting,
Basically it boils down into several choices for the player to make about his character. A.) PC can travel from Omaha, Lincoln, or where they are based (Please let Tim know if your PC is still around and where they may make their places of rest and territories of patrol) to Grand Island for every event. This has the benefiet of you don’t have to leave Omaha. I as a VST cannot screw with you while you are in Omaha. And such. The problem with this is of course you leave your territory to travel and as such you also may be impeded by travel risks that happen. B.) You allow yourself to break Character in order to join the VSS. Benifiet to this is that there are no major complications to a PC being able to be at the game and players are able to have no issue in getting preexisting PCs into game. Problem being of course you had to break character and as a player ooc justify this. C.) Make a new Character. D.) Don’t play
Personally when it comes down to it I prefer option B. The explaination about this is as follows with option A. you are consistently leaving your territory which goes against the ideals anyways. Option C you lose a rather valuable character one that you have been working on for quite some time and it makes things rather sad. Option D well… I would like everyone who wished to play to do so. The main reason Im also feeling option B is plausible is to understand what would happen if you as a player moved. By most accounts generally you have no justifiable reason to leave where your character is settled but everytime we have justified it so our PC can play. In essence this is a very close similarity.

Heres my kicker, and trust me..
So my choices as are.. A) possible good explination and character motives can make that happen. Story works out sometimes, just gotta help. B) Break in Character with no explination. to attach to a VSS that I had no say in. C) not gonna happen, I put to much into shay, plus my research and my work on him. D) The opition where I'm being told that if I don't want to do any of the above that I just don't play?
So heres a question, Which is better.. To break your characters play and go against core ideals of the character, or trash the character and start on another after putting so much work into one.

If you guys are lookign at Grand Isalnd.. the site of the so called "dark island" is a great palce for a Loci. It has in some occult, metaphysicla books all kinds of things attched to it.. it might have some spirit stuff with as much belief that was put into it.. also there is the burial mounds around north west of Omaha that the Winnebago had.. there is a mound that looks like a turtle fromt he sky...

The whole problem with the last game was that we tried to make the characters do something that would break their character, and the players said hell no. Thus, option B would be the same as playing in the old storyline. Your character wouldn't do this, but we're making you do this. Nobody appreciates getting railroaded like this (and again, I apologize for any part I played in that). Inherently, option B is not an option.
We'll assume that since you care to be doing this, that "don't play" is not an option.
That leaves us with "Travel" or "Make a New Character". There are valid points to people who have invested time and rp into a character not wanting to give it up. There are also valid points to a character not leaving their territory to travel to a gather on the other side of the state (the same problem I have with games at conventions).
So then, given the options we've gone over, and the fact that Jason is going off of input that he's gotten already, how would you, the players, want to go about this? The VSS is written for the players, but much like any democracy, it's written for the players that speak up and let their voice be heard. Instead of taking this as hard and fast, let the staff know what you want in the game, and critique in a constructive manner. We won't be able to accomodate everyone perfectly, but we can find a happy medium I'm sure to allow as many people as want to to play.
This means that the staff can not, should not, and will not be held responsible for the consequences of silence. It's your game, we're just the managers.

I have one question? Why Grand Isalnd as a site.. are we tryign to not overcrowd or Mage and Vampire territories or what? I suggest that Eastern Nebraska and Council Bluffs has lots of rrom for this many supernautrla oocurances.. there are reportedly more than 15 ghost sites in Lincoln alone.. according to Guide the ghosts of Lincoln..
I'm just a fan of makign the odd and weird a little more true to what we have and not changing the World of Darkness too much.. just add the supernatural make it a alittle darker and gloomier and voila!

I will say this has been a contested issue that as far as I know we arent supposed to be doing anything in council Bluffs as that is Iowa which is Great Lakes Region. Thus our domain isnt supposed to touch it.
(there was a heated issue on this already)
