I was asked by those-who-are-in-charge to make sure that this got out. Requiem this weekend is in Omaha at Don and Angel's. Start time is probably around 5pm (more like 7pm Cam standard time ). John Floerke will be your friendly scheming VST. All hail the toast!! Scott B. US2002021497

Scott this is not directed at you, since you and I talked already...just trying to let everyone else know.
1) this saturday is Mage at the pumpkin patch where the jolly rogers are doing a concert, this has been planned for months, and has been posted to the boards and lists several times.
2) while I understand that we now have four games in three venues to schedule around I would very much like to know why no one bothered to remember that this weekend was scheduled for mage or to even give me the courtsey of a call to double check the mage schedule and avoid a conflict. I am told that people thought I knew what was going one...but how can I know if I'm a) out of town when the discussion is taking place, and b) not called by those having the discussion for my input into the game schedule.
3) I will still be holding Mage this weekend...period...I had the game scheduled first...over a month ago...and I really don't care what people think...
4) if people are really this upset with the mage game and really don't want to play that much...let me know and I'll disolve the venue like we did the other ones...or I'll start scheduling for the few that do play.
that's my rant for now...for what it's worth

Okay...
We are will be moving the Requiem to Friday potentially...however Mage is traditionally hosted during the day, and as no FORMAL announcement was ever made about the game (Yes many of us did hear from through the Grapevine that some of you planned on attending a concert during game, but nothing was ever thrown out concretely on the boards and such, and obviously was not discussed with the other ST's) previous to this evening everyone assumed the traditional schedule of Mage during the day and Requiem at night would not be a problem.
No one should have had to call you to find out that you were changing the time that you normally run Mage. You should have been responsible enough to contact the other ST's and such to make your scheduling clear, as you are the one who is deviating from the norm...not them.
It is highly unprofessional for you to declare that you don't care what people think, and I am pointing that out for your own good. You were elected into your position to be an officiate for a group activity that concerns all of us. You SHOULD care about what works for everyone, not just what works for you.
Also, I don't think anyone is specifically upset about the mage game. Again, you are the one who is deviating the schedule fromt he norm. The fact that the other ST's expected it to be the same as usual is NOT an attack. I also do not believe that people want the mage venue to fold. There are several of us who have interest in the venue, but who have chosen not to play for various reasons.
My rant for now as well....if you want to talk about it more (specifically about why some of us have chosen not to play in the venue) then feel free to contact me.

Technically, Don, the Requiem venue *IS* the one that deviated. Since this weekend would normally be the Lincoln Venue and was switched due to ICC. She's irritated because, again...due to ICC and the insanity of this month, no one called her to let her know that we *HAD* changed the Lincoln/Omaha games.
I think there needs to be an ST meeting. Let's get a new game schedule up and going, seeing as there are 4 different venues going now, one of those being in Lincoln. Oh....and when we do this ST meeting, let's not forget to CALL Chad Parker about it, since he doesn't have email access.

Actually there were several formal announcements that went out over this list and the email list...and if you had checked the calender it was posted there as well.
and as for deviating the time I did do that this time...I normally call pregame at 4 and game on at 5 so how the hell is that a day game? seems to me that is an evening game.
As for expecting people to call me...yes I think I was due that minor consideration...because as I said before there were several official announcements about the game this weekend...the times...the location...and the date...both over the list and the boards. Not my fault if you didn't see them and only "heard through the grapevine"
so tell me again why I should care what anyone but my players think? why I should really care what people who do not attend my games...don't think they need to let me know what the other ST's are doing...and don't seem to know that I even exist...think? which is obviously the case since you just admitted to not paying attention to the board announcements and the calender announcements that I already posted.
