I did get back in town Monday and am still working with some players to resolve scenes that happened at last game and downtimes-specifically those involved in the date rape drug plot and the hunter plot because of the level of involvement. There were some questions regarding how things were run or the outcome of scenes that as a ST I was not communicated about during game that would be resolved at a later time in the near future. During game and immediately thereafter is not a good time to ask me how something that your character is doing now will later on turn out if its run by one of my assistants and we have not had an opportunity to communicate yet. Players need to allow the ST staff, that includes my assistants, a chance to get together and report to one another on what happened during game so we can move the game forward smoothly.
As ST I'm announcing that the date rape plot is coming to a close within the next game or two and that is largely due to the diverse avenues that some of the newer characters have taken. Yes it seemed drawn out and I'll admit it was, however, one thing to consider is that in the real-world drugs are a constant problem that doesn't easily go away but recent actions of some PC's have made the pushers rethink their motives. You'll see what I mean soon enough.
As far as Feeding pulls go, what has been decided is that you start out with your blood potency level as your base and draw a card. Each level of herd adds an additional point of vitae to your base and the number on the card adds to your base plus modifier if it applies and that determines your starting blood pull for the night.
If you feel that your character would not enter game with the end results you may take subsequent hunting draw (Attribute+Skill (+ or -) Feeding Modifer that requires a half hour out of game time per the original MET-Requiem book per draw. The only real difference compared to the system in the book is we add a starting base rather than a straight draw to help symbolize the more plentiful blood supply we have from the Omaha/Lincoln/Council Bluffs area of almost 800,000 people.
